My Top 10 Gumball Season 1 Episodes

Hello everyone! I going to redo my Top 10 Gumball Season 1 episodes mainly because it looks very outdated. You can see the original version here and here. Unless you have watched my video on ranking every Season 1 episode before, I may have repeat myself for Numbers 5-1.

Beginning

The Amazing World of Gumball has been one of my favorite Cartoon Network shows from the 2010s. Now, Season 1 is mainly a miss to most people due to many factors including the cheap designs and "weak" personalities. However, Season 1 is the season where I started watching this show. So I don't think it's a bad season, but I kinda like it (though it's mainly nostalgic reasons) There are a couple of good episode in this show if you can mange to handle this season good. Now, I will go over my Top 10 Gumball Season 1 Episodes! This post will contain some spoilers so I recommended you watch the whole season before reading the following episodes. As well as, this is my opinion. So some of your episodes may not be on my list. Let's start this!

10. The Responsible

This episode is relatible to me, mostly to my brothers. In this episode, Gumball and Darwin babysits Anais when their parents has to attend a school meeting. To be honest, I felt that "Anais antics" episodes mostly works in Season 1. Later seasons, Anais stops playing that nonsense and wants to make friends instead. This episode is funny but I felt some of the scene are either just gross or ridiculous so that's the reason why its only on number 10.

 9. The Car

I made a mistake on my outdated video saying that this episode is the first episode to be produced. However, I later found out that it's the first written episode, not first produced. The first produced was actually The Quest. The episode is about Gumball and Darwin doing Mr. Robinson's chores. I have to admit that this episode is still funny, today. I like how Gumball and Darwin isn't the first ones to damage Mr. Robinson's new car. While it's still funny, there are scene where I not comfortable with however this episode is still on my list.

8. The Club

In this episode, Gumball has to find a club to join during Club Day. This episode is mainly about not fitting in to a certain group. Gumball seems to not be suitable to any club in his school even the Reject Club. We got a good lesson out of this episode is that you always have a group that you can join regardless of being alone.

7. The DVD

I know that it's common but this episode is where I started to watch Gumball though it's the first episode. This episode is about Gumball and Darwin finding a way to return the DVD back to the store. This was before streaming became main stream and it was a struggle when you have to return a DVD or game you rented. This episode also covers on pirating because it seems to be a big issue nowadays. (Though, I do give credits to my stuff.) This episode is funny and seems to aged well to start the whole series.

6. The Mystery

I always love mystery episodes and this episode is no exception. This episode is about the students of Elmore Junior High finding out who hurt Principal Brown. Gumball was the closest one due to the principal being stuffed into his locker. The hype to see the real one is so good. You want to who really did it, well I won't spoiled the surprise. But trust me, it isn't Gumball.

Intermission

Before I going over the last five episodes, I have a disclaimer. I have talked about these episodes before when I did my Every Gumball Season 1 Episode Reviewed video. So the following episode may have some repeats from that video. Now, back to the list!

5. The Wand

Call me weird for liking this episode but this is my list after all. This episode is about Richard getting a fake wand, thinking that it's a real one. This episode will still be one of my personal favorites though not in my Top 10 Gumball Episodes (which will come out after Season 6 ended.). Gumball and Darwin did a good job on bringing Richard's wishes come true. There is a continuity error from the marriage scene but that's just a minor problem with the episode. Though, it was funny when Richard is still yelling and everyone is just avoiding that. This episode was the main reason why my character used to have a wand.

4. The Mustache

This episode covers maturity to the kids. However, later seasons did improve on that topic. In this episode, Gumball and Darwin became men and wants to spent time being that. I believe that this episode is closest to meet the quality of later seasons mainly due to that concept. The song featured in this show is good enough. While this episode may not be the best on covering maturity, but this episode is higher because it seems to have some qualities to later seasons.

3. The Spoon

This episode is the closest thing that I saw that have all The Wattersons doing some useful (excluding Anais). This episode is about Gumball and Darwin doing "clarity work" in the gas station on Nicole's birthday. This episode is almost executed perfectly where Richard needs to get a present so he sends Gumball and Darwin to the gas station. The robber did had a good plan into tricking Gumball and Darwin to steal the money from a safe. However, it was funny when Nicole got arrested when it's actually the robber. I think the title's name should have been better but anyways, it's a good episode to watch back to.

2. The Gi

Alright, I can't say the title's name due to this being a blog post. But this title may need a better name because it can confused kids and specially mispronounced it. The "i" is actually silent so the title sounds like you say The G.  Anyways, the episode is about Gumball and Darwin doing karate lessons. This is very good however this episode surprisingly ages well because we found out that in The Fury, Nicole was doing karate before having to quit on it. While this season seems to be in a different universe, it still makes sure even if Nicole never said it in the episode. This episode is also about growing up and you can do the things that you comfortable to. Just try new things and you will grow as a person.

Honorable Mentions

Before I talk about my number one pick, I want to briefly talk about these honorable mentions.
  • The Helmet: Good parody episode, but it got a mention due to not being original.
  • The Painting: The Wattersons also did a good job but The Spoon did it better.
  • The Poltergeist: Good flashback about The Robinson but the Richard side plot ruined it.

1. The Party

This episode is about Rachel and Tobias having a party but the students has to find a date. I believe this episode has put all the character's best abilities to make it a very good episode. Darwin is still lacking character development, Gumball takes Tina to the party, and Rachel having the only character development in the whole series. However, Rachel was suddenly deleted from existence after Season 1 ended. It mainly because the staff didn't like her but there's still hope that she may reappear that it's not a flashback.

Ending

That was my Top 10 Gumball Season 1 Episodes! This is just my opinion so it's okay if you disagree with any of my episodes. So I hope you have a good day (or night) and bye!
